CWC Survey

Campus & Workplace Climate (CWC) Survey

Two students walking down the UCCS Spine

The University of Colorado and UCCS are committed to fostering a culture of care. In 2021, CU launched the Campus Workplace & Climate Survey (CWC). The purpose of the survey is to gather information from UCCS students, staff, and faculty about their academic, workplace, and residential environments and allows UCCS to have a more representative look at the extent to which protected classes feel respected, supported, and valued. The CWC survey was administered for the first time in 2021, and the results are available on this website. The survey is being conducted again during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Information

The survey will be open from October 22 - November 12, 2025. Separate surveys will be open to staff, faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students. It will take 15 minutes to complete.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The survey is open from 8:00am on October 22 to November 12, 2025 at 11:59pm.

On October 22nd, everyone will receive a unique link to the survey through their emails. If you do not receive the survey email, it may be because you unsubscribed from the listing. Please email cwc@uccs.edu for support.

After completing the survey, you’ll also have the option to opt-in to the incentive process, which enters you in for a chance to receive parking passes, dining passes, and gift cards to Clyde's Gastropub, Big Cat Coffee, the Campus Store, the ENT Center, and GOCA. These are available to students, staff, and faculty.

The Office of Strategic Initiatives will be tabling weekly while the survey is open. Stop by after you complete your survey for a treat as a thank you for participating!

  • October 27th: Cookies and Lemonade from 11:00am-1:00pm in the University Center by Big Cat Coffee

  • November 3rd: Donuts and Coffee from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Columbine Hall lobby

  • November 11th: Warm Drink Bar (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider) from 11:00am-1:00pm in the University Center front lobby

Yes, survey participants' privacy will be maintained. We are anonymizing the survey after the surveys close and incentives have been distributed. Enabling this setting will remove metadata like an email address and disconnect the response from the contact who provided it. In this way, we can know which contacts responded through the distribution history (so we can send reminders) but we cannot know which response belongs to which contact. The UCCS Director of IDEA will manage the email distribution lists and deliver unique survey URLs to individuals in order to message respondents and non-respondents appropriately. The surveys will be administered through Qualtrics. The data are encrypted in transit and at rest. For more information about Qualtrics' security, read their security statement

The survey will take 15 minutes to complete. Respondents may leave the survey and come back later to pick up where they left off by clicking the same link in their email invitation.

There are no open-ended questions in the survey. This is intentional in order to uphold the confidentiality and anonymity of the survey respondents. It also prevents comments from triggering investigations. (The surveys do not constitute reports about illegal behavior or misconduct. Various resources to report misconduct or to seek support are provided throughout the surveys and in the footer of the surveys.)

The surveys are compatible with assistive technology such as screen readers. The surveys will be accessible on smartphones but we recommend completing the survey on a computer. UCCS intends to provide a room on campus to allow students, faculty, or staff to complete the survey on a computer if they would like to do so.

Results from the Fall 2025 CWC Survey will be shared with campus during spring term 2026.
