Faith-based Student Organizations at UCCS

We aim to provide a safe, easy way for Jewish students to connect, share ideas, and build community at UCCS. We celebrate the huge diversity within Am Yisrael, across all races, ethnicities, neurotypes, disabilities, orientations, and gender identities, in the hopes of creating a deeper understanding of what it means to be Jewish. We host cultural and educational events such as: Tu Bishvat (new year of the trees), Purim, Pesach, Lag BaOmer, Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, and Chanukah.
Christian Challenge is a group dedicated to challenging ALL STUDENTS to grow in their understanding of JESUS CHRIST. Our large group meets Tuesday nights at 7:15, and we offer a variety of small groups and events throughout each semester. Please check out our website for more info. Whether you identify as a follower of Jesus or you’re simply exploring, we desire to be a community that creates space for you to learn about Jesus and what it means to follow him. Cru Connect is every Tuesday night at 8:30 in Kettle Creek (behind Roaring Fork) and provides a space to hang out, make new friends, and continue conversations started in our Community Group Bible studies, which meet on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in various locations. Our Weekly Gathering is every Thursday at 7:45 at Woodmen Valley Chapel - Rockrimmon in the Stone Chapel. We serve a free dinner beforehand at 7 - come join us!
This UCCS Roman Catholic Community, supported by the Diocese of Colorado Springs, is dedicated to helping students live authentic Catholic lives on campus. We strive to live out our mission of forming lifelong missionary disciples in truth, beauty, and goodness. Come join us for Sunday mass, daily mass and adoration, weekly Bible studies, community dinners, community service opportunities, and social events.
Reformed University Fellowship is a Christian community open to any student at UCCS. We seek to be a student group that fosters welcome to all, discussion of doubts, growth in Christian faith, and acts of charity, compassion, and justice on and off campus.
The Center for the Study of Evangelicalism
The Center for the Study of Evangelicalism is a space for developing cutting-edge research on religious movements where scholarship is guided by the needs of our community. We are a bridge for connecting scholars to the rich context of religious life in Colorado Springs, and for bringing local community members to the table as we shape the future of scholarly research through open dialogue and engagement.

Gurdwara of Colorado Springs
A Gurdwara is a place of worship where Sikhs come together to listen to the Divine Word embodied in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh Sacred Texts). Gurdwara translates to the Guru's Door. It is the door to God and Guru.

New Life Church
New Life Church proclaims the Nicene Creed as their statement of faith. This creed dates back to the fourth century, when Christians came together and composed this formative and definitive statement. It is more than an intellectual checklist of doctrine; it is a confession of worship that forms us as the people of God and draws us together into the life of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Springs Mountain Sangha
Springs Mountain Sangha is a Zen Buddhist practice community: a group of people who study and practice the Zen way of awakening together. Our tradition has an emphasis on meditation and shared inquiry, and in particular, we are part of a stream of Zen in which koan inquiry is practiced in a number of forms and venues.

Temple Shalom was founded in 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and today is a vibrant congregation of 230 families which conducts itself according to the principles of both the Reform and Conservative Jewish movements.
